Queer Connect was born out of our passion for business and travel, a desire to connect with and contribute more to our LGBTQIA+ community around the world, and a dream of having access to the same level of day-to-day convenience that has been tailored to the heteronormative world since the dawn of time.
Behind Queer Connect
We’re Janni and Korbyn, Co-Founders of Queer Connect. We’re avid travelers, serial entrepreneurs, and you guessed it — as queer as can be! As business owners, and a queer couple who have lived in many different countries, we’ve experienced firsthand the highs and lows of what it means to be queer in different parts of the world.
We’ve thrown the queerest and most diverse wedding celebration that Thailand has (probably) ever seen… we’ve feared for our safety and experienced the absolute absence of safe spaces in conservative small town USA (yikes)… and we’ve navigated LGBTQ healthcare and top-surgery while living in Portugal…
Through it all, we’ve always found ourselves wishing for platforms and apps that are more tailored to our needs and our lifestyle. And frankly, we were done wishing and waiting for society to acknowledge and encourage our existence. So, we decided to take things into our own hands.
